The Comcast Technology Center builds on Atelier Ten’s experience with the first Comcast Tower to redefine sustainability for a high-rise tower in Philadelphia.
The project is a mixed-use development targeting LEED Platinum standards (Core and Shell and Commercial Interiors) and is comprised of forty-four floors of core and shell offices with TV studio space, a five-star hotel, public amenity and retail space in podium.
The project has a high-performance façade as well as efficient mechanical systems including active chilled beams with air-side economizers and heat recovery. Specialty amenity spaces in the hotel sky lobby and winter garden atria have been designed to maximize daylight and expansive city views, as well as thermal and visual comfort.
Atelier Ten comprehensively addressed the projects approach to sustainability through careful energy and systems design, indoor environmental quality, water consumption, and sustainable material selection to achieve its LEED Platinum target goal.
