Mike is an Associate in Atelier Ten’s San Francisco office and member of the firm’s Daylight Practice. As an integrated design specialist, Mike has unique expertise in daylighting & façade optimization for energy performance, human experience, occupant health and thermal comfort. He provides guidance and consulting to architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and product manufactures to create beautiful, healthy and sustainable environments.
With over a decade in the industry, Mike has impacted the design of a wide range of buildings including commercial offices, academic buildings, museums, and k-12 schools. His projects have gone beyond LEED Platinum and have achieved high ambitions like Net Zero Energy certification. He is currently managing the renovation and transformation of the Horton Plaza mall into a mixed-use development that incorporates commercial office space. Mike is working closely with the team to create a comfortable experience within this unique space.
Mike was an adjunct professor at California College of the Arts and has a Master of Architecture from the University of California Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
