Scottish Property Awards 2020

Founded in 2014, the Scottish Property Awards aim to recognise the best new commercial and public buildings in Scotland. Atelier Ten are delighted with their association with project wins this year at the Scottish Property Awards 2020:

The Event Complex Aberdeen won Development of the Year (Commercial Buildings). Whitehorn Hall, St Andrews won Student Accommodation Development of the Year; Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice won Healthcare Development of the Year and Innovation in Design & JP Morgan Chase, Argyle Street won Deal of the Year.

  • TECA won Development of the Year (Commercial Buildings). Atelier Ten provided fire engineering design for this project. This state-of-the-art events complex includes a 15,000-capacity arena, multi-functional conference suites, function rooms, business meeting rooms and 33,000m² subterranean exhibition space and car parking.
  • Whitehorn Hall, St Andrews won Student Accommodation Development of the Year. Atelier Ten provided building services design and lighting design. This development with University of St Andrews and Campus Living Villages delivered up to 400 units of world class student accommodation with high quality interactive social and common spaces.
  • Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice won Healthcare Development of the Year and Innovation in Design. Atelier Ten provided building services design and environmental design. Focus was on creating a world class palliative care environment with a homely and relaxing atmosphere. Resilience and robustness of service featured heavily in design considerations commensurate with a leading edge facility. The end result is a care environment which breaks with tradition.
  • JP Morgan, Argyle Street, won Deal of the Year. Atelier Ten are providing building services design, environmental design and fire engineering for this project. The development will be the new home of JP Morgan Chase & Co in Glasgow housing 2700 staff and act as one of their major technology hubs, revitalising a key site which has lain derelict for nearly two decades.
