Celebrating Scotland’s Spring Promotions
We’re celebrating our spring promotions! Learn what our team members are most proud of and what they’re excited to accomplish in the upcoming year.
Kirsty Drennan – Associate Mechanical
Since joining Atelier Ten in February 2025, I’ve been most proud of the breadth of experience I’ve gained in a relatively short time. I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects across residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and education sectors, including the Caledonian Brewery, Barclays Medical Centre, Beaverbrooks Office and Distribution Centre, and Dundee and Angus College. Being involved in projects from early feasibility through to later stages has been particularly rewarding, and I’m excited to see many of these projects progress and start on site over the coming year. I’m especially looking forward to continuing my involvement with the Dundee and Angus College project, having been part of it from the very beginning, and to building on this experience as I take on new challenges and responsibilities.
Calum McColl – Senior Mechanical Engineer
One of the highlights of my time at Atelier Ten has been working on Peebles High School, a new school development in the Scottish Borders. I first became involved in the project as a graduate engineer and have remained part of the team throughout its development, recently handing it over as a senior engineer. Being able to follow a project through multiple design stages while progressing in my own career has been incredibly rewarding. It reflects both my personal development and the trust Atelier Ten has placed in me to take on increasing responsibility, while contributing to the delivery of a high-quality educational building.
David Milne – Mechanical Engineer
Since joining Atelier Ten, I have been fortunate to be involved in a range of assignments, with the old Royal High School standing out as a particular highlight. Contributing to the progression of this heritage development into the construction phase has been both challenging and rewarding. I am also proud of my work on Albany House, which has been the first project I have supported across multiple stages. I look forward to continuing to develop my mechanical skills while working on exciting and unique projects in the future.
Peter Morgan – Senior Sustainability Consultant
I joined Atelier Ten to help shape a built environment that is both low carbon and ambitious, which is evident in the quality of the projects I have worked on over the past three years, and this is something I’m proud of. I really care about Scotland’s amazing historic buildings, so being involved in the regeneration of the Caledonian Brewery site has been a particular highlight (so far). Being part of a team designing the reuse of an iconic site—while embedding practical, future-proof sustainability principles—captures exactly why I wanted to be part of the industry.
