The Dunard Centre

with David Chipperfield Architects

The Dunard Centre will be Edinburgh’s first dedicated new space for music and the performing arts in 100 years. It will act as the base for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and also provide space for performance, recording and rehearsals. The proposed building will be located in St Andrews Square with facades relating to the architecture of the New Town.

Atelier Ten will provide the BREEAM services for the proposed building with a score of 58% which equates to a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’. Atelier Ten will assist the Design Team in achieving the targeted score by issuing draft evidence and example information to facilitate a compliant design. Further BREEAM workshops and BREEAM updates will also be undertaken with the project team to ensure the assessment remains on track. A BREEAM tracker document will also be issued at each progress meeting.
