What’s NEXT for the Bay Area?

Claire Maxfield and Emilie Hagen will speak at the 2018 AIASF NEXT Conference on June 1st at the San Francisco Art Institute. This year’s conference will showcase a dialogue on the United Nation’s New Urban Agenda – “a roadmap to promote sustainable, regenerative, and equitable growth in our cities.”

Claire joins Jacobs Engineering and Guttman & Blaevoet for “A Renewable Future: Designing for Grid Harmonization” from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM. Claire will discuss current actions that local developments are taking to contribute to a low carbon community.

Emilie joins SOM for “Resiliency Pioneers: Applying Best Practices from SF & Beyond” from 1:30 – 2:30 PM. She will discuss the difference between resiliency and sustainability, and what design strategies specifically address resiliency.
