Nikhil Singh CEM, CMVP, LFA, EIT, LEED GA

Associate, San Francisco

Nikhil is an Associate in the San Francisco office and key member of the firm’s Energy Analysis practice. With a technical background bridging energy performance and sustainable design, he develops strategies to tune building energy efficiency, articulate long-term carbon roadmaps, and support resilient, low-energy operations.

Viewing the built environment as a living system, Nikhil brings an ecological mindset to his work. Drawing from experience across sectors–including commercial, complex healthcare, residential, and commercial–he translates the complexity of building physics into clear and intuitive design direction. His work spans modeling and calibration for both existing buildings and new construction, alongside front-end HVAC and plant design, and building automation controls. His portfolio includes a 17-building tech campus targeting ILFI Zero Carbon certification; 300 Kansas Street, the first ILFI Zero Carbon Core & Shell certified project; the Austin Convention Center, aiming to become the first zero-carbon convention center; deep fossil-fuel reduction for Boston office buildings; and carbon liability analysis for large hotels in New York City.

Early in his career, he developed a holistic approach to energy efficiency through campus-scale infrastructure work, orchestrating interconnected urban ecosystems. He holds a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science from The George Washington University.
