Celebrating national success at the 2025 BCO Awards!
We’re absolutely thrilled to share that three Atelier Ten projects were recognised at the BCO National Awards last night.
The Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI), Edinburgh – Innovation
A bold and transformative project that redefines what a university can be. EFI blends heritage with forward-thinking design to create a world-class, multidisciplinary hub for learning, collaboration, and innovation. Atelier Ten supported the project with performance-based fire engineering solutions, enabling design flexibility while maintaining safety. Fire and smoke modelling demonstrated safe evacuation, supported by enhanced detection systems, while radiant heat calculations confirmed protection from external fire spread.
Eden at New Bailey – ESG
This recognition feels like a milestone not just for us, but for the future of creative and sustainable design. Working on Eden allowed us to challenge conventions and push the boundaries of what a commercial building can be. It stands as a landmark for progressive, environmentally responsible design and is an inspiring example of how bold thinking can shape the future of our cities.
Norton Folgate, London – Refurbished/Recycled Workplace
Our brief was to thread historic structure and fabric seamlessly into high-performance new buildings, creating one sustainability strategy that worked across very different typologies. We set whole-life carbon targets, prioritised passive design, and coordinated efficient, electrification-ready systems and central plant. These respect heritage constraints while delivering modern comfort, low energy use, and excellent internal environmental quality. The result is a coherent, resilient workplace campus where careful reuse and best-in-class new build work in concert to raise the bar for sustainable city-making.
We are proud to see these exceptional projects recognised on a national stage. It reinforces our belief that great places are those which respect their environment, enhance the lives of those who use them, and set new benchmarks for what is possible.
We look forward to continuing to create places that truly make a difference.
Congratulations to all the other winners!
