We are delighted to officially introduce our new Associate, Joshua Plourde, to Atelier Ten. With over 15 years of experience in the architecture and construction industry, Josh brings a wealth of carbon neutrality strategies and broad scale decarbonization frameworks to the table. His expertise in resilient embodied carbon strategy creates lasting impacts for clients.

Josh believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach when comparing carbon strategies for individual buildings versus entire portfolios. He is excited to tailor processes specific to each client and push the boundaries of decarbonization:

“If we can guide clients to reach achievable and ambitious goals through intentional interventions, that is where we can bring the most value, to both our clients and to the greater environment.”

Josh received his B. Arch from Pratt Institute School of Architecture and completed a Certification in Sustainability Strategies and Opportunities for Industry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been a licensed architect in California since 2015 and is currently a Sustainable MBA candidate at the Presidio Graduate School in Marin, CA. Proficient in building design, construction administration, project management, and carbon strategy innovation, he is passionate about integrating building performance, finance, and the human experience into his projects.

Having worked with industry giants like Google and at architecture firms including Foster + Partners and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), Josh is eager to expand the frontiers of building decarbonization and portfolio-wide initiatives. His expertise in green architecture, climate regulatory assessment, and holistic decarbonization strategies makes him an invaluable addition to our team.
