Amy Leedham is a Director of the San Francisco office and leads the US carbon practice. As a registered architect, Amy combines her expertise in building physics and architecture to foster communication between the design team and technical consultants in the pursuit of design excellence.

A recognized leader in addressing carbon emissions and enhancing human experience in the built environment, Amy develops innovative yet practical strategies to reduce the carbon impact and increase resiliency of buildings, masterplans, and portfolios. From navigating the technical and regulatory hurdles to advance high-rise mass timber construction, balancing forest health and supply chain challenges, to addressing energy diversification for resilience, Amy approaches projects with a holistic perspective, always keeping the bigger picture in focus.

Amy has delivered some of the firm’s most complex projects with ambitious goals such as net zero energy, zero water waste, enhanced occupant health, and carbon neutrality. Her diverse portfolio includes the UHS Women’s and Children’s Tower, 1265 Borregas, UCSC Kresge College, UC Merced 2020 Project, and the Sophie Maxwell Building.

Amy holds a BSc in Architecture from Northeastern University and an M.Arch in Sustainable Environmental Design from The Architectural Association in London. Beyond her work at Atelier Ten, Amy has taught at the University of California Berkely, The Academy of Art University, and the Architectural Association.
