Integrating Ecological Thinking Into Buildings

Nico Kienzl will present Atelier Ten’s work integrating ecological thinking and living systems into buildings at the Center for Architecture in New York on September 6th at 6 PM. The event titled “Action: New Ecological Prototypes” will be a panel discussion on the varying approaches designers are taking to research and develop their own smart, low-carbon, responsive building products and systems.

Nico will discuss some of our traditional projects including Gardens by the Bay, Salesforce Transit Center and the Carpe Diem office tower, and then shift to One Sydney Park, a project out of Atelier Ten’s Sydney office that extends the ecological habitat of the adjoining parkland to support a healthy and active community.

Nico will be joined by David Benjamin, Founder and Principal of The Living; Enrica Oliva, Partner and COO of Werner Sobek New York (WSNY), Pippa Brashear, Director of Planning and Resilience of SCAPE; and the moderator, Tiffany Broyles Yost, Associate at ARUP.
