HRH Prince Charles given an overview of Msheireb Downtown Doha

While in Qatar, HRH Prince Charles made a special excursion to the Msheireb Enrichment Centre, where he met the team from Msheireb Properties who explained the extent of the Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD) project. Following the tour of the model representing the 32 hectares of redevelopment, HRH met representatives from the British companies who are involved in the project- including Anuran Wickramasinghe, Director of the Downtown Doha Phase III project (pictured bottom left). Atelier Ten are responsible for the building services on Phase 3 comprising 18 buildings. The project boasts of being one of the worlds largest sustainable regeneration projects and creating the Qatari feel in its architecture. HRH spent some time discussing the various aspects of the projects with the engineers and architects responsible for the design of MDD.
