Alexis Creed – Business Development and Marketing Manager
Over the past seven years, Alexis has played a big part in growing Atelier Ten’s East Coast marketing team and strategy. A wonderful team player and leader, she oversees a team of marketing coordinators and consistently applies her sustainability knowledge across our project pursuits.
In her new role, Alexis leads Atelier Ten’s business development efforts across the United States, helping strengthen our presence in the industry and deepen relationships with our wonderful clients and partners. Her work plays a vital role in connecting Atelier Ten’s technical leadership with opportunities that advance our mission and expand our impact. Alexis is particularly excited to lead the development of conference abstracts that showcase our team’s impressive technical work, oversee the firm’s BD initiatives, and work with clients to schedule AIA‑approved learning sessions in their offices, further sharing Atelier Ten’s forward‑thinking approach.
Amy Leedham – Director, San Francisco
“I am proud of my work with Google to establish their industry-leading embodied carbon in 2019 before it was a popular topic. I am also proud of some of the hospital projects I am currently working on because we have the opportunity to do something really transformative. I did my Master’s thesis on improving the health of hospital architecture so it is something I am very passionate about. I’m proud of the big impact that my work on the UHS Women’s and Children’s Tower had on the underserved population in San Antonio. Finally, I’m proud of delivering Google’s first mass timber building, 1265 Borregas. The project really advanced the way Atelier Ten approaches embodied carbon modeling, and the exposed mass timber is visually striking.
As a Director of the San Francisco office, I am looking forward to the opportunity to lead projects even more than in my previous role and find opportunities to advance the practice of what we do.”

David Moore – Senior Environmental Designer
“After more than 4 years at Atelier Ten, I’m proud to see projects that I worked on at the beginning of my career are now fully built and occupied. Many of these projects I started out as support and then transitioned to a project manager role, and it’s been rewarding to see them through to completion.
Looking forward, I’m excited to continue building subject matter expertise in all things embodied carbon. I’m particularly interested in implementing innovative low-carbon concrete strategies on projects and exploring expanded embodied carbon scopes such as MEP and construction emissions.”
Emma Frank – Communications and Marketing Manager
“Some of the projects I have been most proud of during my time at Atelier Ten have been working with our technical staff and directors on our white papers and thought leadership pieces. It’s so fun to work with our team to translate their impressive work and reports into digestible pieces that can be read and understood by a variety of people. Some of the notable ones I’ve worked on are: Mythbusting Mass Timber, To Build or Not to Build with Wood, That is the Question, Atelier Ten’s Roadmap to Absolute Zero Carbon, and most recently our series on the updated LEEDv5 requirements.
As Communications and Marketing Manager, I’m looking forward to continuing to grow Atelier Ten’s digital voice and thought leadership while overseeing the West Coast’s bids. We have a couple of pieces in the works!”
Eric Van Deusen – Senior Environmental Designer
“I aspire to push the boundaries of sustainability, building performance, and decarbonization in the built environment. At Atelier Ten I’m always surrounded by teammates who share my passion and enthusiasm for sustainable design, and there is never a shortage of inspiration to make a positive climate impact. It’s rare to have the opportunity to work on so many state-of-the-art projects and apply my passion for sustainability, which is something that I cherish and bring to my project work every day.
Through my experience at Atelier Ten I’ve developed extensive knowledge in embodied carbon and whole life carbon. There is a growing interest in these topics across the industry and I’m excited to work with more clients and design teams to realize better carbon performance and continue to push the industry forward.”
Meghna Koushik – Environmental Designer
“The most rewarding part of working at Atelier Ten is the people. Their support allows me to navigate tough situations and reach milestones autonomously, effectively making even the most difficult outcomes happen. I am incredibly proud that I was able to use my own creativity, combined with Atelier Ten’s support, to guide both NBCUniversal and 300 Kansas toward achieving their ambitious goals
I am eager to delve into more complex sustainability issues as an Environmental Designer. I plan to focus my efforts on the Carbon Practice, helping to advance Atelier Ten’s resources in that sector while driving ambitious, measurable milestones on every project I undertake.”
Sarah George – Senior Environmental Designer
“I am proud of how I have successfully (and unsuccessfully) pushed project teams to go further, whether it’s stretching from LEED Gold to Platinum, incorporating accessible rooftop green space and hybrid timber structure for a biotech building, or including Design for Freedom initiatives for a historic university project. I have seen how swinging for the fences truly made a difference. While I am proud of my project work, I am especially proud of my impact on the people at Atelier Ten. Early in my career it became clear that the people you work with have a huge impact on your wellness, so I made it my mission to connect with people at work and connect people with resources for their professional development. I am most proud of living this out at Atelier Ten.
I am looking forward to (1) using what I’ve learned to continue to push projects in new, creative ways, (2) leading Knowledge Exchange to help shape office culture and (3) developing an organized Atelier Ten workflow for social sustainability! For me, it’s all about the people.”
Shanta Tucker – US Executive Director
Atelier Ten is thrilled to announce that Shanta Tucker takes on an expanded role as US Managing Director. She continues to lead transformative projects while fostering collaboration across both our East and West Coast offices. This new position strengthens our ability to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions on a global scale.
“I love many things about Atelier Ten, but my top ten highlights include our distinctive rubber stamp logo, the green colored office
chairs, and the innovative circadian lighting system in our NYC office. More importantly, I value my fantastic colleagues, the ‘green light’ to advocate for anything sustainable, and the rewarding challenges that come with adaptive reuse projects. I also appreciate the encouragement to teach at local colleges and the fact that the broad diversity of project types and how that means there is
never a “Groundhog Day.” It’s truly a place where architects and engineers collaborate as friends.”
