Celebrating Shanta Tucker’s New Role

Atelier Ten is thrilled to announce that Shanta Tucker takes on an expanded role as US Managing Director. She continues to lead transformative projects while fostering collaboration across both our East and West Coast offices. This new position strengthens our ability to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions on a global scale.

Over the past 20 years, Shanta has championed a holistic vision for buildings rather than isolated solutions, and has contributed her expertise in optimizing building performance, maximizing envelope and MEP systems efficiency and promoting strategies for wellness for the built environment projects at all scales. Known for out-of-the-box thinking, Shanta consistently pilots new ideas—from building innovative stakeholder groups and leading integrative design workshops, to  increasing the value of water reuse systems,  and advocating for environmental justice frameworks like Grace Farms’ Design for Freedom.

Shanta’s work emphasizes community, health, and wellness, while pushing boundaries with sustainability initiatives and strategies that benefit local ecosystems. Shanta has led many of Atelier Ten’s most ambitious projects, ranging from the LEED Platinum Kroon Hall at Yale University, the LEED-Platinum Tour Carpe Diem in La Defense, SUNY’s Energy Efficiency Design Guide for Net Zero Buildings and Deep Energy Retrofits, and the adaptive reuse of New York City’s Moynihan Train Hall/The Farley Building. Her recent work with Princeton University has greatly supported the University’s Sustainability Action Plan, with projects including the Yeh College and New College West, the Meadows’ Neighborhood Masterplan, the East Campus Entry Masterplan, and Environmental Studies and The School of Engineering and Applied Science buildings.

While her guidance continues to be central to project direction and outcomes, Shanta’s new role focuses on connecting teams across Atelier Ten’s USA offices, enhancing transparency, and supporting international collaborations. This expanded responsibility ensures alignment on major initiatives and strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional results on large-scale projects.
