USA Spring Promotions 2025

We’re celebrating our spring promotions in the US. Learn what each staff member is most proud of and what they are excited to accomplish in their new roles.

Liz Lessig – Associate

I am excited to step into my new role as an Associate in our New York office, and proud to represent an organization deeply committed to driving meaningful change in the built environment. Whether mentoring high school students through the ACE program or contributing to the transformation of a decommissioned power plant into a vibrant community hub, it has been incredibly rewarding to be part of work that creates lasting, positive impact.

Looking ahead, I am eager to lead projects that strengthen community partnerships, advance equity, build resilience, and drive climate action. Our ongoing efforts at Manresa Island, the New York Historical, and the New Lots Branch Library make me hopeful, and energized, about the continued impact we can achieve.

Peter Zacharia – Associate

My journey with Atelier Ten has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to work with wonderful teams across many industries and regions worldwide. What truly makes me proud is seeing the positive impact we’ve created, particularly in places just taking their first steps toward sustainability.

In my new role, I’m excited to advance the ways we solve problems and share insights with our clients (and the broader industry). There is a huge opportunity to leverage existing and new methods to answer a range of new and interesting  questions – all with the end goal of shaping a more sustainable world.

Danielle Ton – Accounting Manager

Being with Atelier Ten for over 6 years has been such an exciting and knowledge-enriching journey. Even though my role is not directly part of Atelier Ten’s technical team, there’s much to be proud of when you’re the backbone of the business. Playing a crucial role in contributing to Atelier Ten’s financial growth over the years by managing the US’s finances, gaining trust and relationships among the project teams, and then seeing all the amazing projects come to life has been some of my greatest accomplishments yet. Seeing myself excel from a junior accountant to an accounting manager role at A10 is a testament to that.

In this new accounting manager role, I’m looking forward to gaining valuable leadership experience by managing a team of two project accountants. Together alongside the CFOO, we own all of Atelier Ten USA’s finances including revenue forecasting, budgets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Having the opportunity to lead and work with such a strong team is an invaluable experience. I’m very fortunate and thankful for the opportunities I’ve had at Atelier Ten so far, and I’m looking forward to all the new experiences and projects ahead!

Evan Parness – Environmental Designer

One project I am incredibly proud of my work on is the University of Michigan Center for Innovation in Detroit. It has been an incredibly exciting project where I’ve worked on guiding the project team towards its target of LEED Platinum – which will be the first LEED Platinum project for the University as well as the first Platinum LEED BD+C New Construction project in Detroit. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of environmental design analysis for this project, including a Life Cycle Assessment which has helped inform the project’s ambitious carbon reduction targets, daylight analysis which has influenced the design of the project’s atrium – enhancing the biophilic experience for occupants, coordinated a robust materials vetting approach prioritizing healthy, equitably sourced materials, and a green roof design with enhanced stormwater management capabilities to optimize the building’s resiliency amidst an increasingly rainy changing climate in Detroit.

I’m really excited to continue my work as an Environmental Designer digging deeper into complex sustainability issues, identifying synergistic opportunities to approach sustainability holistically across all of our projects. I’m particularly interested in continuing to refine my skills across the Masterplanning and Resilience practices, as well as finding more opportunities to embed Social Equity within our project work – such as through aligning with the Design for Freedom process.

Andy Park – Accountant

During my time at Atelier Ten, I am most proud of helping build client relationships and supporting project managers on the billing side of their projects. With the opportunity, I was able to acknowledge the various projects that our wonderful project managers and principals work on. Before joining Atelier Ten, I didn’t know any terms or about the industry so every time I heard the terms like LEED and WELL, I thought it was a type of project and not a type of service being provided.

In my new role, I am excited to take on new challenges and grow as well as continue to communicate with clients about billing issues. Woohoo! On a more serious note, while managing payments, I want to expand my knowledge of sustainability and gain a deeper understanding of the wide range of services that we provide.
