Submitted for planning in June 2020, the development of this 120 acre green field just outside Perth is intended to act as an Energy Park generating and distributing low carbon energy in a private wire network mode.
The strategy involves combining a number of technologies in order to form low carbon electricity to the future Perth West masterplan. Our work includes the development of a solar farm, energy storage systems, hydrogen plant and anaerobic digestion systems to provide a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution. The plant would be run by a energy generation company, supplying low and zero carbon electricity into the local national grid, along with an option for a private wire connection to an adjacent new large scale domestic development.
This approach has been aligned with the Scottish Government’s electrification of heat guidance and strategy, forming a resilient and future-proofed solution for Perth.
