U.S. Tall Wood Building Prize Awarded

130-134 Holdings LLC, in partnership with Spiritos Properties, SHoP Architects, Arup, Icor Associates and Atelier Ten has been awarded the U.S. Tall Wood Building Prize.

The luxury 10 story structural timber building at the corner of West 18th Street and 10th Avenue will be the first of its kind in New York City. As the sustainability consultant, Atelier Ten is leading the integrated design process for the building’s energy, water, daylight and materials systems performance. Our focus in the early design stages is to advise on high performance façade options for improved thermal comfort, visual quality and energy savings. We are also shepherding the project through the LEED certification process and performing studies using whole building energy models.

Atelier Ten’s team from the New York office includes Director Nico Kienzl, Associate Director Shanta Tucker, Senior Environmental Designers, Craig Graber and Shivani Shah and Environmental Designer, Michael Esposito.
