Shanta Tucker appointed president of IBPSA-USA

Atelier Ten Associate Director, Shanta Tucker, has been appointed president of the International Building Performance Simulation Association of the United States regional affiliate (IBPSA-USA).

IBPSA is a non-profit international society of building performance simulation researchers, developers, and practitioners, dedicated to improving the built environment.

Her affiliation with the society started in 2008 as secretary, and in 2010, she was elected as vice president. Her work focuses on promoting the development of regional affiliate chapters of the organization, and helping to organize the biennial SimBuild conferences and semiannual dinner meetings.

As president, Shanta plays an active role in advocating IBPSA-USA’s mission to advance and promote the science of building simulation in order to improve the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of new and existing buildings in the United States.
