Professional Engineers (P.E.)
We are pleased to announce that two additional members of Atelier Ten’s staff have achieved their Professional Engineers (P.E.) designation. Senior Environmental Designers, Jagan Pillai and Chris Carper, from the New York office have been granted P.E. by the state and licensing boards after successfully completing their educational, experience, and exam requirements.
Jagan is a licensed P.E. in the state of Colorado. As a key member of the energy analysis practice, he is an expert in the application of building energy analysis, including the optimization of building envelopes, mechanical, and electrical systems for high-performance buildings. Jagan is a certified ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He holds a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai in India.
Chris Carper is a licensed P.E. in the State of New York. His expertise in building energy analysis includes the optimization of high-performance building envelopes and mechanical systems. His prior experience includes developing self-funded energy retrofit projects in existing buildings by surveying mechanical and control systems, identifying energy conservation measures, developing scopes of work, and calculating costs and savings. Chris is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP). He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The P.E. license is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence, a symbol of achievement and assurance of quality.
