Nico Kienzl discusses “Baby, It’s Cold Inside”

Nico Kienzl, Director of Atelier Ten, to discuss the findings of Urban Green Council’s study Baby It’s Cold Inside on March 11, 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Trespa Design Centre.

The discussion will be comparing the resiliency of typical construction to high-performance buildings. If a power outage occurs during a winter cold spell, buildings with poor envelopes will face freezing temperatures indoors within days. And without power for air conditioning in summer, some homes and apartments will become dangerously hot. Is NYC ready for the next blackout? Join the discussion about how to improve buildings to prepare for the future.

Nico will be joined by Heather Roiter Damiano of the NYC Office of Emergency Management, Paul Freitag of Rose Development, Romulus Petre of Urban Glass House, and the discussion will be moderated by Bomee Jung, Enterprise Community Partners.
