Kohler Environmental Center Wins 2014 Green Good Design Award

The Kohler Environmental Center at Choate Rosemary hall wins a 2014 Green GOOD DESIGN™ award. We worked with RAMSA’s office to achieve LEED Platinum and Net Zero Energy by providing energy analysis, environmental design, LEED and lighting design services.  The fully daylit passively designed building includes high-performance wall assemblies that approach Passive House standards, a ground source heat pump (GSHP) system, an earth duct to pre-temper outdoor air, a solar hot water system, and a waste oil boiler using cooking oil or biofuel to heat the greenhouse.
