Brian Meinrath speaks at Facades+ Los Angeles

Brian Meinrath, Associate of Atelier Ten’s San Francisco office, will be speaking at two events at the Facades+ Conference in Los Angeles, CA on January 28th and 29th, 2016.

Moderated by William Menking of The Architect’s Newspaper, Brian will be joined by Sameer Kashyap of Gehry Technologies and Chris Sterparn of CPG for a panel titled “Bytes, Dollars, EUI: Data Streams and Envelopes.” The discussion will focus on the increase in facade optimization and how data, whether it’s cost, energy, or performance metrics, can be used to inform facade design and development. The session will be on January 28th from 3:50 AM-4:35 PM.

Brian will also lead the workshop “Netzero Facade Systems: Their Impact Now and in the Future” with Russell Fortmeyer of ARUP and Stéphane Hoffman of Morrison Hershfield. Attendees will participate in a deep dive into the impact of facades on a building’s energy use. The session will be on January 29th from 9:00 -10:45 AM.
