Construction starts on the Dunard Centre – a world-class venue for music and community

We’re proud to see the ambitious Dunard Centre enter its construction phase, marking a major milestone for this £162 million project. It will bring Edinburgh’s first purpose-built concert hall in over a century to life by 2029.

Atelier Ten is delighted to be part of the design team, delivering world-class acoustics, exceptional comfort, and outstanding sustainability in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town. We are delivering the MEP, environmental and lighting design, fire engineering, and vertical transportation for this project.

The 1,000-seat Dunard Centre will host a diverse programme of performances and community events, providing a home for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and a new venue for the Edinburgh International Festival. Open daily, it will be a vibrant hub for music, culture, and community in the city centre.
