London Spring Promotions 2025
We’re celebrating our spring promotions! Learn what each staff member is most proud of and what they are excited to accomplish in the upcoming year.
Ben Rose, Divisional Director
I am most proud of the team of engineers and designers we have built up here, and who I get to work with day to day on exciting and interesting projects. No 2 projects are the same, and glad for the people around me we have for delivering them.
My biggest challenge is building up new and improved systems and processes for working with our other offices and other brands within the SJ group to deliver best in class project work more collaboratively and efficiently.
Simon Clifton, Divisional Director
I’m most proud of integrating the former Studios 4 and 5 into one team last year. I’m looking forward to helping all of us to reach our maximum potential.
Lucy Bennett, Senior Public Health Engineer
Having started out at Atelier Ten as a graduate almost 5 years ago, I am most proud of everything I have learned since then. I didn’t have a building services background and was starting from scratch, so to now be leading the Public Health Engineering design on projects is an achievement in itself.
I have recently moved from London to Manchester and am looking forward to opportunities with my new team here.
Abigail Louise Hruzik, Engineer 2
The project that I am most proud of since starting at Atelier Ten is Ewer Street. I liked how it incorporated the regeneration of existing buildings alongside new buildings. I started working on the project during its very early stages, I think we established good working relationships within our internal team, and I was fortunate to have a lot of interface with the external team too.
As I progress in my career I’m looking forward to taking on more responsibility for the designs and having more of a lead role in interdisciplinary coordination between the mechanical, electrical and public health services. I’m also excited to develop my understanding of environmental design so that I can integrate these considerations into my designs.
Samuel Miselbach, Associate
mongst a diverse mix, one of the projects I have most enjoyed during my time with Atelier Ten has been the new Kingston School of Art building. Working with a talented design team, this project has adopted a hybrid timber structure and uses stack ventilation in the pursuit of low operational and embodied carbon whilst delivering human-centric, high-quality spaces with user wellbeing at their centre. The emphasis on a ‘nature-first’ landscaping approach and protecting the sensitive river habitats has made this an incredibly rewarding project to be a part of.
One of the most enjoyable parts of my role is helping to create an environment where all our designers feel empowered to develop innovative, technical solutions in the pursuit of regenerative design.
Callum Nelmes, Environmental Designer 2
My proudest achievement during my Atelier Ten career is the completion of Blossom Street. This project which includes 3 plots was my first as-built embodied carbon LCA and as well as the site being breathtaking, it also achieved a very good result! There were over 670 different material entries across 5,159 deliveries all of which were recorded and assessed so it required a big shift!
The site which had 3 different architect teams, 3.1 million hours of work across all parties, 12 buildings, 0 waste to landfill and 67 floors all worked on simultaneously truly is a stellar example of how embedding sustainable practice does not need to be a chore, but something to be proud of!
In my new role, I’m most excited about promoting the carbon alignment with all the Atelier Ten UK practices, as well as continuing to promote knowledge share across our international offices. We just got back from a 2-day symposium in Manchester discussing all things embodied carbon so this is well underway!
Stavan Gang, Environmental Designer, 1
One of the projects I’m most proud of working on is the Beeah Masterplan. I had the opportunity to contribute to the outdoor comfort analysis and help develop key performance indicators that support the project’s sustainability goals. It was a valuable experience to explore how environmental strategies can be applied effectively at the masterplan scale to create a more resilient and comfortable outdoor environment.
I’m looking forward to continuing work on Beeah and building on the strategies we’ve developed so far. It’s an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful, long-term environmental outcomes through thoughtful design and analysis.
Divy Vora, Environmental Designer 1
I’ve learned a great deal during my time at Atelier Ten, and I’m excited to step into this new role. The journey from intern to graduate, and now to Environmental designer, has been a steady climb filled with growth and development.
One of the most rewarding experiences has been working with the design team and other consultants on the London School of Economics Students accommodation building in Southwark. The scale and complexity of the development have not only deepened my technical expertise but also strengthened my communication and collaboration skills. I’m looking forward to seeing this project progress in further stages.
Environmental design continues to be a fascinating and vital part of the building industry, and I’m eager to keep contributing towards a more sustainable future.
James Shields, Senior Group Accountant
Something I really enjoy about my role is working with great finance colleagues across the A10 Group and SJ Companies, I would say that I’m proud of maintaining that rapport and making it benefit the overall business deliverables.
I’m looking forward to assisting with the rollout of Project Nexus (ERP) for Atelier Ten, specifically the finance elements, ensuring it really benefits the teams and business to align processes and make them more efficient.
