Across these projects, Atelier Ten’s work helped translate sustainability ambitions into practical design outcomes.

At the New Sydney Fish Market, our thermal comfort analysis gave the team confidence in the naturally ventilated market hall, helping preserve the open-air character of the harbourfront setting while avoiding unnecessary mechanical systems.

At Western Sydney Airport, Atelier Ten was part of the original competition team led by Zaha Hadid Architects in collaboration with COX Architecture. The team developed the environmental design strategy, contributing to a high-performance façade and ceiling system that maximises natural light and supports future airport expansion.

At Toga Surry Hills Village, Atelier Ten established performance targets beyond standard compliance, using thermal comfort, daylight and glare analysis to improve occupant comfort across apartments and commercial premises.

At Entertainment Hall White Bay, Atelier Ten supported a low-intervention comfort strategy that avoided the need for full air conditioning, saving approximately $1 million. The approach protected the heritage character of the venue while delivering a simpler, more robust design outcome.

Across different building types and scales, purposeful environmental design decisions can make a lasting contribution to comfort, performance, heritage and design quality.
