2025 Architecture Today Awards – WWF-UK Living Planet Centre
We are incredibly proud to share that the WWF-UK Living Planet Centre has won the Workplace category in this year’s Architecture Today Awards for buildings that have stood the test of time.
Workplace – winner | Project: WWF-UK Living Planet Centre | Architect: Hopkins Architects | Completed: 2013

Designed by Hopkins Architects, the development of a new sustainable building as a showcase headquarters for the World Wildlife Fund was completed in 2013. Achieving BREEAM Bespoke Outstanding, the WWF compiled a challenging brief that reflected the core sustainability and energy values that needed to be incorporated into the design and operation of the building as a flexible, sustainable, and publicly accessible home for the organisation.
Twelve years on it is still achieving this and continues to be a highly sustainable, energy efficient, flexible and healthy workplace for its users.
The judges said:
“Completed in 2013 this purpose-built HQ was designed to be environmentally-exemplary, publicly-engaging, cost-effective and adaptable. Twelve years on, it’s delivered on all of those goals. Just as importantly, the data on user satisfaction and well-being shows that it’s a healthy and enjoyable place to work.”
Congratulations to all the other winners!
