IT Support Specialist, New York
Atelier Ten is an environmental and lighting design consulting firm. We are seeking a full-time IT Support Specialist to join our New York office. The IT Support Specialist will report to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and provide basic system administration and end-user helpdesk support across multiple offices. We are looking for a confident and skilled professional with excellent communication skills, a roll up the sleeves and get the job done mentality, and the ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
Core responsibilities
- Provide end-user hardware, software, and network access support with an emphasis on customer service and formulation of effective and efficient solutions.
- Perform general support and network administration (including backups, security management, user account management, e-mail systems, network connectivity, office systems, and applications support).
- Monitor data center health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; Maintain servers as needed.
- Desktop/laptop build-outs, configuration, support, and maintenance.
- Purchase software and hardware in coordination with CIO and local office managers
- Roll out hardware and software (including license management) in coordination with local office managers to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of systems (including all backups), hardware, and software.
- Assist in the maintenance of IT infrastructure and networking to ensure optimum availability
- Regularly communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
- Develop and document policies, technical tools and procedures.
- Other IT-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in an IT-related field or commensurate experience
- 3+ years IT support experience including Microsoft environment, network administration and helpdesk
- Proven IT work experience and requisite internal customer service skills
- Engaging individual, who listens well, is responsive, solutions focused and results oriented
- Superb at managing time, prioritizing work, and providing timely responses to stakeholders
- English language fluency (both spoken and written) with excellent communication abilities
