Ian Potter Conservatory Internationally Recognised
Atelier Ten is pleased to announce the design of the Ian Potter Conservatory at the Australian National Botanic Garden has been recognised by two international awards. Our design with CHROFI won the 2017 Popular Choice Architizer A+ Award in the Institutional – Unbuilt category and a Commendation in the 2017 MIPIM Future Project Award.
CHROFI’s design of a new conservatory in Canberra will be a raised cube dressed in curtain-like glazing. Atelier Ten shaped the design so the innovative rooms have enough glass for ample daylight, but predominantly solid walls for thermal stability appropriate to the tropical plants.
