Atelier Ten Projects Contend for World Architecture Festival Awards

Three of Atelier Ten’s projects have been shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival Awards, held this year in Singapore.

In the Completed Buildings Category is Gardens By The Bay, Singapore, designed by Wilkinson Eyre Architects. One of Atelier Ten’s largest and most ambitious projects, Gardens by The Bay includes two large biomes and external supertrees, for which Atelier Ten provided innovative mechanical system design which reduces the Gardens’ energy and carbon footprint.

In the Future Buildings Category are the University of Sydney Business School and the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), both designed by Woods Bagot. For SAHMRI, Atelier Ten provided extensive daylight analyses aimed at reducing overall solar heat gains, optimizing available daylight and providing visual comfort and views to the outdoors. For the Business School Atelier Ten worked with the architects to craft an ambitious sustainable deign approach to the project, covering site design, energy, water, materials and waste.
