About the role

To support Atelier Ten’s continued success. We have established, and continue to maintain, efficient and effective business knowledge and quality management systems in order to provide our clients – in both the private and public sector – with first-class services covering the full range of design, construction, building services, engineering and maintenance disciplines, and by providing first-class project development and management services including an award-winning design solutions consultancy service

The post holder will be responsible for supporting work on a range of projects. Using industry benchmark and internal standards, the post holder will ensure not only the timely delivery of accurate project information but also provide a point of contact between engineering staff and the in-house BIM team

Our public health engineers work on a range of projects for a variety of clients ensuring real opportunities for personal growth and career progression. They will get the opportunity to work on multiple projects designing for water sustainability supply and sanitation, in developments located all over the world. Daily tasks include the design of hot and cold-water systems, water management and treatment, rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling and above ground drainage systems.

Key accountabilities

Technical ability

  • Actively committed to pursuing CPD of relevant discipline
  • Demonstrate reasonable knowledge in public health engineering
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Atelier Ten’s approach
  • Able to provide accurate calculations and drawings in relevant discipline
  • Deliver technical solutions in accordance with client brief
  • Willingness to develop an awareness and understanding of other disciplines

Project management

  • Liaise with client, architect and other members of the design team
  • Can effectively co-ordinate with in-house engineers, the environmental team and members of the CAD BIM team
  • Can engineer systems within the agreed time scale
  • Maintain overview of project work and provide updates as and when required to line manager/project manager

Marketing

  • Appreciates the need for effective liaison between Atelier Ten, clients and architects
  • Report any feedback or issues concerning the project from clients
  • Foster positive relationships within Atelier Ten

Qualifications and skills
Experience

  • Minimum three-years experience within an engineering environment
  • Have undertaken a wide variety of project work
  • Practical knowledge of project work coupled with an understanding of project management tools
  • Understanding of the deliverables associated with projects within the public and private sector
  • Understanding of project co–ordination
  • Team player
  • Appreciates the need for the application of consistent standards and metrics

Skills

  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Ability to prioritise work loads
  • Good writing skills for producing written reports
  • Effective IT skills for producing material

Qualifications

  • Studying for relevant professional qualifications
