Our New York City office is looking to recruit a full-time Energy Analysis Associate to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics or computer-generated reports. Research and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements. Confer with engineers or other personnel to analyze operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions or provide technical information. Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions. Consult on sustainable design for new construction and major renovations in buildings. Develop and lead environmental strategy including evaluating and recommending energy efficiency measures and their associated life-cycle costs. Develop and support the vision and goals of the firm’s energy analysis consulting practice. Integrate technical analysis processes, procedures, analysis tools, and quality assurance standards across all offices. Manage client relationships, project direction, profitability/billing, internal team coordination, and quality assurance. Provide support and guidance to project managers on project budgeting, scheduling, profitability, framing, and deliverables.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Design, Architecture, or related field
- Progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience (2 years with Master’s or 5 years following Bachelor’s) as an Environmental Designer or related occupation
- Some experience with building energy systems analysis and building mechanical systems design and operation; building physics with a focus in heat transfer; interpreting building energy code; and whole building energy modeling software proficiency in eQuest DOE 2.2 and IES-VE and Energy Plus
- LEED AP Building Design & Construction certification
