Targeting 100! New York Peer Review Workshop

Ben Shepherd, Associate, will participate in a peer review workshop on high-performance hospital design for ‘Targeting 100!’  This session will take place at AIA New York – Center for Architecture on February 21, 2012.

Targeting 100! is a research initiative that provides a conceptual framework for hospital owners, architects and engineers to radically reduce energy use in hospitals. The direct involvement of key industry experts in the development of the research is helping to build the most relevant framework for findings that have the best chance for implementation. The peer review process builds this framework by providing a forum for regional hospital stakeholders to have an impact on this research, contributing to the structure, design, and results of the project.

Ben will be joined by healthcare design experts such as NBBJ; HOK; Cannon; Perkins+Will; and Perkins Eastman, as well as local healthcare institutions such as NYU Medical Center; SUNY Downstate Medical Center; and New York Presbyterian Hospital to discuss the successes and barriers in implementing high-performance healthcare projects.
