The Comcast Technology Center

with Foster + Partners and Kendall/Heaton

The Comcast Technology Center builds upon Atelier Ten’s experience with the original Comcast Tower to redefine sustainability for a high-rise tower in Philadelphia.

The mixed-use tower achieved LEED Platinum in both Core and Shell and Commercial Interiors standards. The building includes offices space with a TV studio space, a five-star hotel, and public amenity and retail space.

Atelier Ten comprehensively addressed sustainability through careful energy and systems design, indoor environmental quality, water consumption, and sustainable material selection to achieve LEED Platinum. Atelier Ten optimized the facade performance and integrated efficient mechanical systems, including active chilled beams with air-side economizers and heat recovery. Specialty amenity spaces in the hotel sky lobby and winter garden atria have been designed to maximize daylight and expansive city views, while maintaining thermal and visual comfort.
