Michael Tillou to present at AIA New York COTE/ASHRAE Integration Series
Michael Tillou, Associate at Atelier Ten, will speak at the first session of the 2014 AIANY COTE/ ASHRAE Integration Series on Tuesday, March 4, 6:00-8:00 p.m. The talk, titled “Mind the Gap: Closing the Bridge between Design Intent and Performance,” will focus on common discrepancies within the industry that lead to a “gap” between design intent and the actual performance of buildings. Mike and his co-presenters will explore the various aspects of the design, construction, and operation of a building that lead to gaps between expectations and results. Additionally, they will review new techniques that can be used with energy models to better predict a building’s performance. This includes the use of the PlaNYC Benchmarking Report.
