Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 74th Street Complex, Receives Award

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center 74th Street Complex received the Institutional Concept Award from Re-Thinking the Future Sustainability Awards (RTFSA) 2014. The RTF Sustainability Awards acknowledges the climate responsive work done by architects, landscape architects, urban designers, planners and creative people from all over the world.

In collaboration with Perkins Eastman, Atelier Ten provided environmental design consulting, energy analysis, and LEED administration services for this 730,000 sf state of the art outpatient cancer clinic located in New York City. Providing a comfortable and healthy building for patients was a priority and a driving factor for all the sustainability concepts implemented from the facade design to building resiliency and material selection.

Atelier Ten’s project team from the New York office included Associate Director, Ben Shepherd and Senior Environmental Designer, Leanora Paniccia.
