Claire Maxfield in Architect Magazine

ARCHITECT, the magazine of the AIA, features an interview with Claire Maxfield, Director of Atelier Ten’s San Francisco office, about Atelier Ten’s new book “Invisible Architecture” and how we improve the sustainability of the built environment while supporting the architectural aesthetic.

“…We think our work is really at its most successful when it’s invisible, in that it’s completely seamless with the design intent of the project,” Claire explains the concept of the monograph and the firm’s design approach. The collection of essays written by our staff from around the world, with guest contributors, investigates the unseen elements that make up the physical experience of architecture including heat, light, air and sound.
