Atelier Ten joins workshop on Healthier Schools by Design: A Toxic-Free Future

Kate Waddick, Environmental Designer at Atelier Ten’s San Francisco office, will present at the workshop titled “Healthier Schools by Design: A Toxic-Free Future” as part of the C.A.S.H. 36th Annual Conference on School Facilities on February 25th (10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.).

The workshop will focus on the movement initiated by the USGBC, International Living Future Institute, Healthy Building Network, and other leading organizations to change the way we build by identifying the chemicals and materials of concern in our environment and make wiser purchasing decisions. Kate has a passion for advancing transparency in the building product supply chain; analyzing occupant exposures to indoor air contaminants; and researching methods for designing, constructing, and operating “healthy” built environments.

Kate will be joined by William Savidge from the State Allocation Board; John Diffenderfer, Principal at Aedis Architects; and Stephany I. Mason, Technical Services Program Manager for the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS).
