Atelier Ten presents at AIA New York on high performance building design in extreme climates
Paul Stoller, Director of Atelier Ten, and William Horgan, Partner at Grimshaw, will speak at AIA New York on Tuesday, May 28, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Their talk, titled “Extreme Climate, Extreme Design: Singapore Gardens by the Bay and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority Headquarters,” will be moderated by Wendy Meguro, Associate of Atelier Ten and member of the AIANY COTE Steering Committee.
Paul and Bill will offer their views and insights on the challenges of building design in extreme climates; in particular, they will use Singapore Gardens by the Bay and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority Headquarter as case studies to discuss their high performance responses to harsh climates including topics on climate-appropriate façade strategies, innovative conditioning systems, and site-specific opportunities.
