A founding director of
Patrick has completed projects around the world noted for their innovative design as well as their sustainability, including major cultural complexes in Gateshead, Melbourne and Singapore, a national sustainability centre at the Earth Centre in Doncaster and educational, commercial, retail, cultural and residential projects all over the UK.
Award-winning projects include The Earth Centre, Great Notley Sustainable Primary School in Essex, the Martial Rose Library at King Alfred’s College, Winchester and the Baltic Arts Centre in Gateshead.
Current projects include the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, the Herbarium at Kew Garden and the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, as well as numerous school, housing and cultural projects. Patrick established the New York office in 2000 to bring the experience of atelier ten to bear on the burgeoning green interest in the USA.
Outside
Patrick’s success in integrating innovative technologies with noteworthy architecture has been acknowledged by the Royal Institute of British Architects, who made him an Honorary Fellow in 2001.
Patrick was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2004.
In 2008 Patrick delivered the 6th Happold Medal Lecture and received the Happold Medal from the Construction Industry Council and the Happold Foundation.
