BackgroundGlobal attitudes toward the environment and energy are changing. Corporate and social responsibility standards, including those relating to energy issues, are increasingly seen as a key measure of performance. This changing mindset is reflected in an increased demand for buildings (from factories to housing, museums to schools, shops to offices) to work more efficiently. atelier ten (environmental | building services engineers) work with the natural physical laws to produce buildings that consume less energy, and so function more economically. We’ve been committed to low energy principles since setting up in 1990, and our portfolio contains numerous award-winning buildings that reflect our success in putting these principles into action. By taking a wider role in the design process, working in partnership with architects and other designers, we’re able to integrate environmental control and services into a building’s fabric, enabling it to be more sustainable, higher performing, more comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and economically viable. |
